Yakutsk GREES successful in completing scheduled maintenance on peak boiler, ensuring dependable heating amidst harsh winter.

In Yakutsk, the subsidiary of RusHydro, Yakutsk GRES, is currently in the final stages of repair works on its peak water-heating boiler, specifically boiler No.1. This repair work is part of a larger complex of works on three peak water-heating boilers (No.1, No.2, and No.3).

The repair works on boiler No.1 involved the replacement and repair of its outer layer, as well as the repair of the lower part of its furnace. Additionally, auxiliary equipment was inspected. These works are aimed at ensuring the stable energy supply and preparation for the winter period.

Meanwhile, the repair works on boilers No.2 and No.3 are also ongoing. They are being carried out according to an approved plan, with the goal of guaranteeing uninterrupted station operation and reliable heat supply to consumers even in extremely low temperatures. All scheduled works that cannot be performed during winter operation were conducted on boilers No.2 and No.3.

Dmitry Chalov, the Deputy Chief Engineer for Exploitation at Yakutsk GRES, stated that all works are being carried out systematically to ensure these goals. The repair works on boilers No.2 and No.3 also included the repair of the refractory lining of the burner ports on the frontal part of the boilers.

After the heating season, the peak water-heating boilers are placed in planned conservation using special liquids. No specific details about the condition or state of boilers No.2 and No.3 after the repair works were provided.

It is worth noting that the peak water-heating boiler serves as a backup and is activated during periods of maximum load on the heating system. Once the repair works on all three boilers are completed, Yakutsk GRES will be well-prepared to meet the demands of the upcoming winter season.
