Water utility company Vodokanal reminds users about the active water tariffs starting from July 1.

In the heart of Siberia, the city of Biysk has seen a change in its utility prices as of July 1, 2025. The Mayor of Biysk, [Mayor's Name], has provided an explanation for this adjustment.

The tariff for Thermal Energy, a crucial component in powering homes and businesses, has seen a rise. With Value-Added Tax (VAT) included, the cost per Gcal is now 5125.82 rubles, an increase from the previous rate. Without VAT, the tariff stands at 4271.52 rubles per Gcal.

The Mayor attributed the rise in utility tariffs to several factors. Increased operational costs, the need for infrastructure upgrades, and regulatory changes are potential reasons behind the price hike.

Moreover, if Biysk is indeed witnessing significant industrial expansions, as suggested by Russia's military production increases, this could potentially impact local utility pricing due to increased demand for resources.

The tariffs for Cold Water Supply, Hot Water Supply (including the component for cold water), and Wastewater Discharge have also been affected. The costs for these services, with and without VAT, are as follows:

  • Cold Water Supply: 33.45 rubles per cubic meter (without VAT) and 40.14 rubles per cubic meter (with VAT)
  • Hot Water Supply (component for cold water): 33.45 rubles per cubic meter (without VAT) and 40.14 rubles per cubic meter (with VAT)
  • Wastewater Discharge: 28.65 rubles per cubic meter (without VAT) and 34.38 rubles per cubic meter (with VAT)

It's worth noting that the current tariffs have been in effect since July 1, 2025, and will remain so until December 31, 2025. However, the Mayor did not provide any information about potential changes to these tariffs beyond this date.

As always, staying informed about local changes is key to understanding the impact on our lives. The rising utility tariffs in Biysk are a reflection of broader economic trends and the need for continued investment in infrastructure and services.

The rise in utility tariffs in Biysk is causing concerns for businesses, as the cost per Gcal for Thermal Energy has increased significantly, with an added Value-Added Tax (VAT) of 854.30 rubles. The Mayor has highlighted increased operational costs, infrastructure upgrades, and regulatory changes as potential factors behind this price hike.

If the suggested industrial expansions in Biysk are indeed occurring, as indicated by Russia's military production increases, this could potentially exacerbate the situation, with increased demand for resources likely impacting utility pricing.
