The Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), also known as the Gülen movement, remains a significant focus of operations within Turkish government bodies. Ankara prosecutors have issued arrest warrants for 25 suspects, including four currently employed in the Foreign Ministry, as part of an investigation into the clandestine FETO network within the institution.

The network of suspects within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was uncovered after extensive work by the Justice Ministry and national security units. The suspects are believed to have used the ByLock app, a communication tool long identified by Turkish authorities as a key tool for FETO. They are believed to have held roles within the organization's covert operations and were identified through evidence including the use of ByLock and records of contact through public payphones. Witness testimonies also link the suspects to the FETO group.

Police operations to apprehend the suspects are ongoing, spanning eight provinces, as stated in the latest update. The suspects were believed to be part of the so-called "secret structure" of FETO embedded in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This follows earlier purges where 19 individuals and their associates were removed from the ministry over alleged ties to FETO.
