US Boosts Estonia, Australia's Firepower with Himars Deal
The US has announced a significant military aid package, with Estonia set to receive additional Himars launchers and missiles. Meanwhile, Australia has secured a deal for 48 Himars launchers. However, delivery dates remain uncertain.
The US Department of Defense has approved the sale of 48 Himars launchers to Australia for $705 million. This deal, along with another for Estonia, forms part of a larger contract worth over $4 billion. Estonia's package includes six more launchers and a substantial number of missiles, comprising 856 GMLRS packages of various types and 182 ATACMS. Despite these agreements, there's no publicly available precise delivery date for the additional Himars launchers and rockets to either Estonia or Australia as of current information.
The US has committed to strengthening its allies' military capabilities with these significant arms sales. While the exact delivery timeline remains unclear, Estonia and Australia will both benefit from enhanced firepower.
