UPS Launches Initiative to Support SMEs with Discounted Shipping Rates
UPS has launched a new initiative to support small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) with discounted shipping rates. The move comes as UPS acknowledges the challenges faced by SMEs due to rising costs and shifting regulations, and follows recent changes to international shipping fees.
UPS has partnered with American Express to provide exclusive discounts on air, ground, and international shipping for SMEs using the Business Savings Suite. This collaboration aims to help SMEs navigate obstacles such as tariffs and a busy holiday season.
The discounted rates, valid until February 28, 2026, are designed to support SMEs' competitive ability and facilitate access to efficient shipping solutions. UPS CEO Carol Tomé recently acknowledged the struggle of SMEs with rising costs during an earnings call, highlighting the importance of reducing cost barriers for their growth and sustainability. This move aligns with broader trends encouraging support for SMEs through tailored services and pricing.
UPS's new partnership with American Express offers SMEs attractive shipping discounts, helping them overcome challenges and fostering their growth. The initiative reflects UPS's commitment to supporting small businesses and adapting to industry changes.
