Upcoming Renault Kiger facelift set for release on August 24th

The Renault Kiger is set for a facelift, and it's shaping up to be an exciting proposition for city-savvy drivers. The update brings a blend of style, practicality, and value, making it a compelling competitor in the compact SUV segment.

The Kiger facelift will take on the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, and Mahindra XUV 300. The exterior design refinements include a redesigned grille, sleeker headlamps, and sharper bumper details, enhancing its street presence while retaining its sporty silhouette. At the rear, revised C-shaped LED tail lamps and possibly a new paint option are expected.

Stepping inside, the cabin offers a noticeable upgrade in tech and comfort. The dashboard gets an update with a floating 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A digital driver display (around 7 inches) and ventilated front seats are also part of the interior upgrade. The all-black interior theme may be replaced with a more sophisticated look.

On the safety front, the facelift standardizes six airbags (up from four), and retains features such as tyre pressure monitoring system, hill start assist, traction control, electronic stability program (ESP), and a rear parking camera with sensors. Optional features could include rain-sensing wipers and front parking sensors.

Under the hood, Renault will retain the tried-and-tested engine options. The 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol with manual or AMT gearboxes, and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol paired with either a manual or CVT transmission will continue to power the Kiger facelift. A CNG option is expected to remain available for the naturally aspirated petrol via dealer fitment.

Bookings for the Kiger facelift are expected to open around the launch date, which is scheduled for August 24, 2025. The price is estimated to increase slightly, with the range expected to be between ₹6.5 lakh and ₹11.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
