New Jetour Shanhai T2 and Traveller C-DM: Advanced PHEV SUVs with Off-Road Capabilities
Jetour, a Chinese automobile brand, has announced the launch of two new plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV): the Jetour Shanhai T2 and its rebadged version, the Jetour Traveller C-DM.
The Jetour Shanhai T2 is a rugged SUV designed for off-road adventures, boasting a muscular styling, 20-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, side steps, and a Magic Electric Door system. It measures 4,785 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 2,800 mm. The T2 is equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a 1.5L Turbo DHT PHEV powertrain, delivering 326 HP and 565 Nm torque. The SUV is powered by a ~31.7 kWh battery, offering a pure electric range of 206 km and a total range beyond 1,100 km.
The T2 also features an intelligent XWD (4WD) system with multiple terrain modes, front/rear differential locks, and multi-terrain control. Inside, you'll find a 15.6-inch infotainment system, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay support, 12-speaker Sony audio, 64-color ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof with voice command, and 7 driving modes. The T2 can seat five people and offers level 2 advanced driving assistance capabilities.
The Jetour Traveller C-DM, on the other hand, is largely a rebadged version of the Shanhai T2 but equipped specifically with the C-DM hybrid system developed by Chery. The C-DM system combines a 1.5L turbo engine with electric motors, delivering around 240 kW (326 PS / 322 hp) and 545 Nm torque. The Traveller C-DM features a 3-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) and emphasizes hybrid efficiency and powertrain technology from Chery’s hybrid system lineage.
Both vehicles share the same hybrid PHEV architecture, offering strong hybrid power, substantial electric range, and off-road features. The Jetour Shanhai T2 is now available for pre-sale, with a price range of 184,900 - 216,900 yuan (25,500 - 30,000 USD). The pre-sale starts on August 18.
In addition to the T2 and the Traveller C-DM, Jetour has also introduced the Jetour Shanhai L7 Plus, which offers two tire specifications: 255/55 R20 and 255/60 R19. The combined range of the L7 Plus is as high as 1,300 km. The L7 Plus is a light off-road PHEV SUV, priced between 184,900 - 216,900 yuan.
