Donors can contribute on a one-time or recurring basis to fully or partially sponsor a $70,000 scholarship. Tax-deductible contributions are encouraged to support students seeking higher education.

Ramiro Fernández Sarraf, the brains behind the "More Graduates" program, emphasized its importance: "We're working towards a university that caters to all those who aspire to learn within our institution. Excellence is about equity and inclusion. The Sarmiento Scholarships offer students the financial aid needed to continue their education. With each student achieving their dream of earning a degree from this prestigious university, we're also realizing dreams. Each contribution, no matter how small, helps make education a reality."

For many UBA students, Sarmiento Scholarships are crucial as they provide the necessary funds for the continuation of their education.

Diego Golombek, a notable figure, asserts that government investments paved the way for technological advancements such as cell phones and space exploration.

Applications for scholarships are evaluated by the Secretariat of Student Welfare of the Rectorate and the UBA’s Higher Council to ensure the funds reach those most in need, based on socio-economic and academic criteria.

The "More Graduates" program also promotes the academic community, inviting people from all walks of life to join this charitable endeavor.

Sarmiento Scholarships extend beyond financial support, offering additional benefits to help students alleviate expenses related to their studies:

  • Financial Assistance: A $70,000 monthly allowance renewable every two years, as long as the student maintains the necessary academic and socio-economic standards.
  • Fee Exemptions: Scholarship recipients are relieved of paying fees for certifications and procedures related to their degree, such as certificates of regular student status, analytics, titles in process, etc.
  • Health Coverage: Beneficiaries are granted access to health coverage from the General Directorate of Health and Social Assistance, and can take advantage of the services offered by the Network of University Hospitals and Institutes of the UBA, using their scholarship certificate.
