U.S. debut of AC Cars' SuperSport model marked with a bold celebration
British automaker AC Cars has made a bold move by introducing the new AC GT SuperSport in the heart of Florida, specifically in West Palm Beach. This limited-production model is set to redefine the automotive landscape with its unparalleled design and power.
The AC GT SuperSport is a testament to engineering excellence, boasting a specifically tuned V8 powertrain and aerodynamic enhancements. The bodywork integrates dramatic aerodynamics, a widened track, an enormous rear wing, and a redefined front grille, making it a truly striking sight on the road.
Each GT SuperSport will be a unique masterpiece, individually specced with up to 1025bhp (764kW) available from the V8. The car will be available in three bold livery options, symbolizing American traditions - red, white, or blue. AC Cars America will consult with clients to ensure each car is tailored to its owner's preferences.
Jeremy Stein, CEO of AC Cars America, described the GT SuperSport as a masterpiece of design and power. He further emphasized that the GT SuperSport is an uncompromising evolution of the legendary roadster concept. David Conza, CEO of AC Cars, stated that the AC GT SuperSport will be a true icon of automotive engineering.
The GT SuperSport is limited to 25 examples, all hand-built at AC Car's facility in Donington, England. Given the standard Cobra GT weights around 1400kg, the GT SuperSport's power should be considered 'more than enough'.
After priority is given to existing clients, select new clients will be invited to apply for the AC GT SuperSport. Consultations and reservations for the AC GT SuperSport are currently open. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2027.
Existing AC customers and those who previously ordered an AC model receive priority in ordering the AC GT SuperSport before new customers are invited. The starting price of the AC GT SuperSport is US$550,000 (NZ$917,000), before sales and state taxes. The GT SuperSport will feature unique commemorative features, making each car a truly special possession.
