Triton Secures £1.5M Deal to Build David Brown Santasalo's New Gear Testing Facility

Triton Construction has secured a £1.5 million contract to build a new testing facility for David Brown Santasalo, a global gear manufacturer with almost three centuries of expertise. The new news facility, a 5400 sq ft warehouse building at the company's headquarters in Huddersfield, will be purpose-built for testing new and refurbished gearboxes.

Triton Construction, having previously worked with David Brown Santasalo on two manufacturing and engineering buildings worth £5 million, is installing special measures for anti-vibration and soundproofing in the new news facility. The building design is 9m high to accommodate overhead travelling cranes for moving gearboxes and equipment. Notably, Triton Construction has also installed a gear box testing rig for a Naval Frigate, demonstrating their capability in complex news projects.

The new news facility will be a significant addition to David Brown Santasalo's global service presence, which spans over 1,100 employees across 28 locations on six continents. The contract includes full mechanical and engineering (M&E) installation, associated external works, and drainage, ensuring the facility is equipped to meet the company's high standards.

The new testing news facility, set to be completed by Triton Construction for £1.5 million, will enhance David Brown Santasalo's gear testing capabilities. With its purpose-built design, advanced features, and Triton Construction's proven expertise, the news facility is expected to contribute to the company's continued global success.
