The Dallas Mavericks Unveil Their Novel Streaming Service for MavsTV
Supporters of the Dallas Mavericks basketball team now have an additional method to witness their cherished squad in action. On a recent Friday, the Mavericks unveiled an exclusive dedicated streaming platform for MavsTV, in alliance with Endeavor Streaming and the NBA.
On-Demand Content
The novel platform will enable local fans to watch games that aren't nationally televised, savor unique footage, original on-demand material, and game highlights. The subscription service is accessible via mobile, tablet, and desktop web browsers. Moreover, fans can obtain the MavsTV app on connected devices, such as tvOS, Android TV, and Fire TV. It will soon be available for download on Roku, Samsung, and LG TVs.
"We are ecstatic to collaborate with Endeavor Streaming and Softtek to supply a streaming experience of MavsTV for all of our fans,” declared Dallas Mavericks CEO Cynt Marshall in a statement. “Our extensive content platform offers a one-stop shop for all things Mavs, permitting fans to connect with our team both on and off the court.”
Vesper Platform
The new streaming platform is fueled by the NBA’s Next Gen integrated digital platform and Endeavor Streaming’s Vesper Platform. Presented by Softtek, a pioneer in global software engineering, the platform delivers a streaming solution that enables teams and leagues to construct, enhance, and enable unforgettable direct-to-consumer streaming experiences for their fans.
“At Endeavor Streaming, we are proud to work with the Dallas Mavericks on their streaming technology and direct-to-consumer operations,” articulated Matt Starker, Chief Business Officer at Endeavor Streaming, in a statement. “As veterans in assisting properties and direct-to-consumer services in acquiring, engaging, and growing their audiences, we recognize significant potential for the Mavericks and eagerly anticipate how we can assist them in realizing it.”
Market Expansion
The Mavericks' new streaming platform is but one of several measures the organization has undertaken to broaden its viewership. In September, the team sealed a multi-year pact with TEGNA and WFAA to air Mavericks games free, over the air, in Dallas-Fort Worth and five additional television markets in other Texas regions: Abilene, Midland-Odessa, Tyler, and Waco.
In October, the Mavericks and TEGNA announced that eight additional TEGNA stations will transmit games. The enlargement into the Amarillo, El Paso, Harlingen-Brownsville, Laredo, Lubbock, Sherman, Shreveport-Texarkana, and Wichita Falls-Lawton markets will bring Mavericks games into the homes of approximately 14 million viewers for free, over the air.
“Offering access to games has always been our primary goal,” Marshall stated in a release at the time. “We are elated to collaborate with WFAA to introduce more enjoyment and excitement to all of our MFFLs across North Texas and beyond.”
Fans of Cynt Marshall, the Dallas Mavericks' CEO, will be pleased to know that she played a crucial role in the collaboration with Endeavor Streaming and Softtek to provide a new streaming platform for MavsTV. This service allows local fans to watch games that aren't nationally televised and offers a variety of other content, such as game highlights and original on-demand material, on their mobile devices, tablets, or desktops.
With the new MavsTV streaming platform, Dallas Mavericks fans can also access the service on popular connected devices like tvOS, Android TV, and Fire TV, and it will soon be available on Roku, Samsung, and LG TVs. This partnership with Endeavor Streaming and Softtek is part of the Mavericks' efforts to expand their viewership, as evidenced by their recent multi-year deal with TEGNA and WFAA to air Mavericks games for free in several Texas regions.
