The 2026 Maserati MCPura builds upon the excellence of the MC20, crafting a track-focused masterpiece.

Maserati has announced the launch of the MCPura and MCPura Cielo, lightly updated versions of the popular MC20. These new models, set to hit the market later this year, offer a refined and exclusive driving experience with subtle design changes, improved interior tech, and minor weight reductions.

Design Tweaks and New Paint Options

The exterior of the MCPura and MCPura Cielo boasts restyled front and rear bumpers, offering a fresh look while maintaining the MC20's distinctive silhouette. The range also features new paint options, including the launch colour AI Aqua Rainbow, Devil Orange, Verde Royale, and Night Interaction metallics.

Performance and Weight

Under the hood, the MCPura retains the MC20’s powerful 3.0L twin-turbo V6 Nettuno engine, producing 621 hp and 538 lb-ft torque. The 8-speed dual-clutch transmission ensures smooth gear shifts. Despite the slight weight reduction, the MCPura coupe weighs 3,043 lbs dry, making it lighter than the original MC20 but heavier than the track-focused MCXtrema variant. The MCPura Cielo convertible adds approximately 143 lbs due to its electrically retractable glass roof.

Interior Upgrades and Technology

The interior of the MCPura has received an upgrade with redesigned seats and an updated infotainment system featuring twin 10.25-inch displays and performance apps such as turbo boost, torque, and brake temperatures. A 12-speaker Sonus faber audio system provides an immersive audio experience. The shift from leather to Alcantara, combined with laser-etched vertical stripe patterns resembling tire tread marks, adds a sporty touch to the cabin.

Exclusivity and Pricing

Maserati plans to produce only 120 numbered examples for the U.S. market and 10 for Canada, reflecting the exclusivity of these models. Although the pricing for the MCPura has not been officially disclosed, it is expected to be higher than the current MC20’s $243,000 starting price.

Performance Figures

The MCPura and MCPura Cielo deliver impressive performance figures. The coupe boasts a top speed of 202 mph, while the convertible reaches 199 mph. The estimated 0-to-60 sprint time for the MCPura is under 2.9 seconds.

First deliveries to U.S. customers are expected in December, marking the beginning of a new era for Maserati's supercar lineup. With over 2,000 hours spent in wind tunnel testing and another 1,000 hours in computational fluid dynamics work with Dallara, the MCPura promises a thrilling driving experience. The new steering wheel, inspired by Maserati's GT2 race cars, adds to the sporty feel, featuring a flattened top and optional LED gear-change indicators on the coupe.

The MCPura also offers Tidal Hi-Fi streaming and Android-based architecture, ensuring a seamless and modern in-car experience. With its refined evolution of the MC20, Maserati has created a supercar that delivers power, style, and exclusivity in equal measure.
