"In a rollercoaster quarter, Tether smashed records with incredulous results that emphasize the company's financial resilience and growing global impact. During Q1, [Tether] hit an all-time high of total U.S. Treasury exposure over $120 billion, including indirect Treasury exposures from Money Market Funds and reverse repo agreements."
Other tidbits from the report include:
- The circulating supply of Tether's dollar- pegged stablecoin, USDT, rose approximately $7 billion during Q1.
- User wallets saw a jump of 46 million during the quarter.
- This is the first time Tether found itself subject to regulatory supervision, as it is registered as a stablecoin issuer under El Salvador's Digital Assets framework.
