Tegna Names Carrie Yates as New President & GM of Huntsville's WZDX
Tegna has appointed Carrie Yates as the new president and general manager of WZDX, its Fox affiliate serving Huntsville, Alabama. Yates, a Huntsville native, brings extensive experience in sales leadership and a deep understanding of the Alabama market to the role. She has since built an impressive track record in sales leadership roles, most notably at WSFA in Montgomery and WAFF in Huntsville, where she drove record revenue and digital performance. Before her appointment at WZDX, Yates served in various roles in the television industry, including sales, marketing, and management at different broadcast stations. In her new role, Yates will oversee WZDX's operations across all platforms, community outreach efforts, and drive results for advertisers, leveraging her extensive experience as a sales leader and business strategist, combined with her commitment to serving the Huntsville community.
