Swiftair Acquired by Antin for €280M, CEO Retains Stake
Swiftair, a prominent Spanish air cargo operator, has been snapped up by Antin Infrastructure Partners in a deal worth €280 million. The acquisition, announced on October 1, 2025, sees Swiftair's founder and CEO, Salvador Moreno, retain a minority stake and his position at the helm.
Swiftair, with its 49-strong fleet and 5 more aircraft on order, is a significant player in European air cargo and parcel delivery. The company, owned by holding firm LUSAT, also has controlling stakes in other cargo businesses like West Atlantic Group and Cygnus Air.
Antin Infrastructure Partners, specialising in cash-generating infrastructure and transportation investments, will acquire a 70% stake in Swiftair. The deal has been welcomed by Spain's main pilot union, SEPLA, which has criticised Swiftair's current management team.
The acquisition of Swiftair by Antin Infrastructure Partners for €280 million brings a new chapter to the Spanish air cargo operator. With Salvador Moreno staying on as CEO and a minority shareholder, and SEPLA welcoming the change, the future of Swiftair looks set for growth and change under its new majority ownership.
