Supermarket chain, United Supermarkets, to initiate construction for a new store in Texas.
New United Supermarkets Location Coming to Seminole, Texas
The Seminole community is set to welcome a new United Supermarkets location, along with a United Express convenience store and fuel station, in a comprehensive grocery store development. This project is part of The United Family's ongoing expansion efforts, designed to cater to the needs of locals by merging grocery shopping with convenient fuel access and quick-service retail options.
The new United Supermarkets store will span approximately 49,000 square feet and will be a ground-up development. It will operate under the United Supermarkets brand, offering customers a full-service grocery experience. The United Express convenience store, integrated with the fuel station, will allow customers to redeem rewards points on fuel for up to a $1 off per gallon.
The new location will feature a full-service deli with fresh, hot foods; ReadyMeals; and a dining area. It will also boast a full-service pharmacy with drive-through, Streetside grocery pickup and delivery, an in-store bakery, a full-service floral department with delivery, an expansive beer and wine selection, and a full-service meat market.
The United Family, a Texas-based grocery chain, operates 100 retail grocery stores under four banners: United Supermarkets, Market Street, Amigos, and Albertsons Market. The United Family is a wholly owned subsidiary of Albertsons Cos. Inc., which is No. 9 on The PG 100, Progressive Grocer’s 2025 list of top food and consumables retailers in North America.
Albertsons Cos. also operates 40 convenience stores under three banners: United Express, Market Street Express, and Albertsons Market Express. The United Family recently opened a new Market Street location in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
In addition to the new Seminole location, The United Family is planning to hold its 2nd Annual Discovery Showcase for local and regional product vendors. This event will showcase new items across the departments of the new United Supermarkets location.
An official groundbreaking ceremony for the new United Supermarkets location will be disclosed at a later date. Construction of the new store is scheduled to begin in late spring of 2026.
