Streetwide Lockdown on Bachstraße

In the heart of Hürth-Efferen, a significant road renovation project is underway on Bachstraße and Luxemburger Straße. The project, led by project managers Mr. Klaus Müller and Ms. Sandra Becker, aims to improve the infrastructure of these key streets.

Due to the construction work, several changes have been made to the city bus line 712. In the direction of Effenen Stadtbahn, buses will be rerouted via Esserstraße, Bachstraße, and then continue their normal route via Ritterstraße. For those travelling towards Hürth Mitte (ZOB), buses will be rerouted via Bachstraße and Krankenhausstraße.

Several stops along these routes have been temporarily suspended or altered. The stops "Bellerstraße", "Dreikönigenstraße", "Bachstraße/Haus Baden", and "Ahl Schull/VHS" will be temporarily suspended during the bus reroute. Passengers of these stops are advised to use the regular stops "Ritterstraße", "Hertzstraße", or "Kiebitzweg West" as alternatives.

For instance, in the direction of Efferen Stadtbahn, it is advisable to use the regular stop "Kolpingstraße" instead of the stops "Ahl Schull/VHS", "Bachstraße/Haus Baden", and "Dreikönigenstraße". Similarly, it is recommended to use the regular stop "Hertzstraße" instead of "Bellerstraße" in the direction of Efferen Stadtbahn.

The remaining, former stops "Burg Efferen" and "Drafweg" will be set up as substitute stops. It's important to note that cyclists must dismount during the renovation, and vehicle access will not be possible during the asphalt construction phase (date not yet determined).

Despite the construction, residents can access their properties by car outside of working hours (7 am - 5 pm). Pedestrians can always reach their houses on foot via the sidewalks during the renovation.

The road surface in parts of Luxemburger Straße will also be renewed in June, and the construction work on Bachstraße is scheduled to be completed by approximately June 20, 2025. For the most up-to-date information, residents and commuters are encouraged to check the local transport authority's website or contact them directly.

The city's utility company in Hürth-Efferen is responsible for the renovation of the road surfaces and manhole covers on Bachstraße from May 26 to approximately June 20, 2025. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time. Stay informed, stay safe, and let's work together to make Hürth-Efferen a better place!
