Streamlined Communication: Sertifier and RingCentral Unite for Seamless Collaboration

In the digital age, organising virtual events and managing webinars has become essential for businesses and educational institutions alike. One platform that simplifies this process is RingCentral, a cloud-based communication and collaboration platform. To further streamline event management, Sertifier, a digital credentialing platform, can be integrated with RingCentral for automated digital certificate issuance.

The integration process is outlined in four steps:

1. **Using Sertifier's REST API for Certificate Issuance:** Sertifier provides a REST API that allows your backend system to automate the creation and delivery of digital certificates instantly when a learner or attendee completes an event or course. Certificates are linked to a Campaign in Sertifier, which bundles the certificate design, detail, and template into a single campaignId. Once you know the campaignId, issuing a certificate is a single API request.

2. **Triggering Certificate Issuance via RingCentral Events or Integrations:** RingCentral supports managing app integrations through its Admin Portal, allowing you to connect external applications and automate workflows. While a direct Sertifier-RingCentral native integration isn't available, you can build a custom integration by utilising RingCentral's API or webhook capabilities to detect event attendance completion or relevant triggers from your event management workflows, and then calling the Sertifier API to issue the certificate automatically.

3. **Developing a Middleware or Using an Integration Platform:** Due to the lack of direct out-of-the-box integration, you likely need a middleware service or integration platform (like Zapier, Integromat/Make, or custom scripts) that listens to RingCentral event triggers or user actions, executes Sertifier API calls using stored campaignIds to issue credentials.

4. **Implementation Outline:** - Register and set up your certificate Campaigns in Sertifier with designs and templates. - In RingCentral, configure event notifications or APIs to detect when a participant completes the event. - Develop or configure middleware to receive RingCentral event data, map the event data to the correct Sertifier campaignId, and make the Sertifier API call to create and deliver the certificate instantly to the recipient. - Monitor and log the certificate issuance process for troubleshooting and auditing.

In summary, the integration involves leveraging Sertifier’s REST API to issue certificates and using RingCentral’s event triggers or APIs to signal when to request certificate issuance. This requires custom middleware or an integration platform to connect the two systems for automated, real-time digital certificate issuance during event management.

By integrating Sertifier with RingCentral, event organisers can provide immediate recognition of event participation, enhancing the overall event experience. Private certificates will only be reachable from the link sent via email, and the Credential Details page is used for inputting essential information for digital certificates. The status "Active" indicates that the certificate-issuing automation is now complete. If no design is available, clicking on Create New Design provides access to the Credential Designer.

For more detailed information about creating certificate details, the Credential Designer, and sending Digital Credentials, consult separate guides. The Email Template tab enables customisation of the email sent to certificate recipients, and the attendance percentage criteria determines the minimum participation duration required for certificate issuance. After selecting all details and saving them, the status of the integrated certificate turns to "Active". Once connected, the user can create a new integration, select the desired event, and set the attendance percentage criteria.

  1. Leveraging RingCentral'sAPI or webhook capabilities, businesses can develop custom integrations that automatically issue digital certificates from Sertifier when a participant completes an event or course, streamlining the credentialing process within the digital age.
  2. To further automate the certificate issuance process, technology can be utilized to create middleware or use integration platforms like Zapier, Integromat/Make, or custom scripts that listen to RingCentral event triggers or user actions, and then execute Sertifier API calls using stored campaignIds for immediate certificate delivery.
  3. By integrating Sertifier with RingCentral, finance and business operations can benefit from technology advancements, as it allows for the automation of digital certificate issuance during event management, thereby enhancing the overall event experience and digitizing crucial documentation processes.
