Southeast Bank convenes its thirtyth Annual General Meeting online
The 30th annual general meeting (AGM) of Southeast Bank PLC was held virtually on Wednesday, 17 September 2025, at 11:00am. The meeting was presided over by bank Chairman MA Kashem, with Vice Chairperson Rehana Rahman joining virtually.
In attendance were Jusna Ara Kashem, Duluma Ahmed, Nasir Uddin Ahmed, Engr Khandker Badrul Hassan, Md Rafiqul Islam, Md Nurul Islam, the Managing Director of Southeast Bank PLC on the day of the General Assembly, Mr. Abidur Rahman Chowdhury, and Company Secretary Mamunur Rashid FCS. Independent directors Barrister M Moyeen Alam Firozee and Dr Md Mozibur Rahman also participated.
Bank sponsors and a large number of shareholders attended via the digital platform. Chairman MA Kashem expressed his appreciation to shareholders for their continuous cooperation and support. He assured shareholders that their suggestions for enhancing operational performance and brand image would be gradually implemented.
During the meeting, it was announced that Credit Rating Information and Services Limited (CRISL) had rated Southeast Bank PLC AA (double A) in the long term and ST-2 in the short term. The rating is based on audited financial statements up to 31 December 2024 and unaudited financial statements up to 30 June 2025.
As of 31 December 2024, the bank's total assets were Tk545,858.60 million, and total deposits were Tk411,343.90 million. In 2024, the bank earned an operating profit of Tk11,721.29 million (consolidated).
The meeting concluded with a positive outlook for Southeast Bank PLC, reflecting the confidence shareholders have in the bank's future growth and success.
