"Six years later: The Mammoth Project comes to a close"
In the heart of the picturesque Swabian town of Ennabeuren, a significant transformation has taken place. The renovation of the town center, which cost around three million euros, has not only been desired but necessary, as highlighted by local officials.
Manuel Hagel, CDU state parliamentarian, emphasized the importance of this project, stating that it demonstrates that rural area development can be successful. He also emphasized the importance of balancing modern advancements, like the upcoming finNY Café-Bar, run by Manuela Allmendinger, with traditional activities such as eating Wurstsalat and baking bread.
The finNY Café-Bar will open its doors in the bakery annex on September 3, with Manuela Allmendinger preparing for the reception of honorary guests. The annex, part of the renovated town center, is set to become a vibrant addition to Ennabeuren's social scene.
Government President Klaus Tappeser described the renovated town center as a "planning gem" and the heart of Ennabeuren. He expressed his anticipation for the upcoming autumn festival, which will take place in the town center.
The festival, organised by the Swabian Alb Association and the Albvereins Trachtenkapelle Ennabeuren, will feature a large festival tent and kitchen tent, numerous sunshades for beer benches, and various other attractions. Martin Heilig, 1. Chairman of the Swabian Albvereins Trachtenkapelle Ennabeuren, welcomed guests to the event.
Reverend Burkowitz and Catholic priest Karl Enderle invoked God's blessing for the new town center, with Enderle explaining that the Cosma and Damian Church, located near the town center, was once a simultaneous church used by both Christian denominations.
The renovation was funded from seven different sources, totaling approximately 1.5 million euros. The specific details of these funding sources were not immediately available. However, it is widely acknowledged that village centers play a crucial role as identity-creating gathering places for life in the countryside.
As the festival commences, Reverend Burkowitz concluded by referring to Jesus' words, stating that where they gather in his name, there the center opens up. Karl Enderle, with a nod to the divine intervention, said, "Behold! It came in abundance from above."
The renovation of Ennabeuren town center marks a significant step forward for the community, combining modern amenities with traditional charm, and serving as a testament to the potential of rural development.
The Economic and Social policy for Ennabeuren's development now includes the financing of small-businesses like Manuela Allmendinger's finNY Café-Bar, demonstrating commitment to rural revitalization. The renovated town center, a planning gem, is set to stimulate business growth and enhance the local social scene.
