Security firm KnowBe4 enhances Microsoft Edge's security by integrating its SecurityCoach feature, aiming to reduce risky browsing habits.

In a significant move to bolster cybersecurity, KnowBe4 has announced a new collaboration with Microsoft. This partnership involves integrating KnowBe4's SecurityCoach with the Microsoft Edge for Business browser.

The integration aims to help organizations improve management of human risk and strengthen their security posture by providing real-time, in-browser security coaching to users whenever risky behavior is detected. This includes actions like reusing passwords, visiting blocked or malicious sites, or attempting to bypass security warnings.

By leveraging native security signals and browser activity data, the system delivers immediate, contextual guidance and learning moments to users within seconds of risky behavior, turning potential vulnerabilities into teachable moments that strengthen overall security awareness and behavior in the organization.

This integration responds directly to the sharp increase in browser-based phishing attacks, addressing one of the most common vectors for cyberattacks. It also bridges the gap between technical defenses and user action, transforming users from potential weak points into security assets.

For those interested, more information about the previous collaboration between KnowBe4 and Microsoft Defend for Office365 can be found in June's announcement.

Meanwhile, DMP has introduced a new product called JamAlert to combat the growing threat of illegal cell jammers. These devices, which interfere with cellular signals, pose a significant security risk, leaving systems vulnerable. DMP's JamAlert is a solution aimed at addressing this threat.

Arunesh Chandra, Principal Product Manager at Microsoft Edge for Business, expressed pleasure about the integration, stating that it will help to better protect businesses. Stuart Clark, VP of Product Strategy at KnowBe4, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of the collaboration in the current cybersecurity landscape.

KnowBe4 has published a blog post about the new collaboration with Microsoft, providing more details about the integration and its benefits.

The integration of KnowBe4's SecurityCoach with Microsoft Edge for Business browser aims to enhance the security posture of businesses, particularly in the realm of cyberattacks through browser-based phishing, by turning users into security assets. This collaboration between Microsoft and KnowBe4 also reflects the importance of addressing the gap between technical defenses and user actions in the current cybersecurity landscape.

On a separate note, DMP's introduction of JamAlert responds to the growing threat of illegal cell jammers, addressing the vulnerability they pose to systems and strengthening security for businesses faced with this issue.
