School-ready travel: Smooth rides on newly restored roads, no costs required

After a summer of construction, several roads in Saxony-Anhalt are set to reopen, easing traffic congestion and ensuring a safer journey for school commuters.

The L 50 in Saalekreis will resume service between Domnitz-Dornitz and L 172. Similarly, the L 219 in Saalekreis will reopen at Querfurt. In addition, the Eislebener Straße and Lindenstraße in Saalekreis will also see traffic once again.

Dr. Lydia Hüskens, Minister for Infrastructure and Digitalization, made the announcement in Magdeburg, urging all road users to drive carefully, considerately, and with foresight for school safety.

The B 184 in Landkreis Anhalt-Bitterfeld will reopen at Bobbau, while the B 250 in Burgenlandkreis will reopen at Wippach and Eckartsberga. The B 1 in Landkreis Jerichower Land will reopen at Möser and Königsborn, and the L 52 in Grabow-Theeßen will also reopen.

The L 102 in Landkreis Börde and the L 212 in Burgenlandkreis will reopen at Wangen, respectively. Full closures on these roads will be lifted in time for the start of the new school year.

The B 71 in Altmarkkreis Salzwedel will reopen at Cheinitz-Winterfeld and Weteritz, and the B 188 near Wust in Landkreis Stendal will also reopen. Lastly, the B 180 in Salzlandkreis will reopen at the border with Mansfeld-Südharz.

The condition of these roads is crucial for traffic safety and the smooth operation of school bus traffic. Construction measures were deliberately scheduled during the holiday period to minimise disruptions.

To find the exact list of road renovation reopenings in Saxony-Anhalt, it is recommended to consult the official Saxony-Anhalt Ministry of Transport website or press releases, the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) for federal road projects, or local traffic or public works authorities in Saxony-Anhalt. These sources usually publish up-to-date bulletins or traffic announcements about ongoing and completed roadworks including reopenings.

During the reopening of several roads, the L 50 in Saalekreis will provide finance for the industry by resuming service between Domnitz-Dornitz and L 172. Meanwhile, the transportation sector will benefit as the L 219 in Saalekreis will reopen at Querfurt, facilitating smoother journeys.
