Get Ready for a Smooth Ride this Weekend 🚌

This weekend, it's time to roll with the time change - daylight saving time is here! Fear not, night owls, your travels remain unscathed, thanks to the thoughtful planning by Torsten Roscher, a sharp scheduler at the Verkehrsverbund Oberelbe (VVO). "No need to lose sleep over connectivity," he assures us. "All passengers will smoothly reach their destinations, even on the changing night of October 28th to 29th." 🌃🌄

The regional VVO night bus service, active from Dresden's city center to the surrounding areas, will keep on truckin' as usual. With the clocks turning back an hour from 3 am to 2 am, there'll be a double dose of 2:45 am—yeah, you read that right! This means an extra ride for passengers venturing to Meißen will set off from Dresden's Postplatz. 🚍🎫

Night owls hailing from Radeburg and Moritzburg can catch the 1:15 am and 2:50 am (summertime) or 3:15 am (wintertime) buses from the Postplatz, ensuring they get their beauty rest in style. The line 477 bus will make a quick pit stop at Neustadt station, Louisenstraße, and Bischofsweg to grab directly visitors heading to Dresden's Neustadt district. 🏙️🌐

Hop on the Bus to the Surrounding Towns

Dresden's Kaethe-Kollwitz-Platz will be the pickup point for bus journeys to Medingen and Ottendorf-Okrilla, leaving at 0:21 am (summertime) and 2:09 am (wintertime), and connected to tram line 7 from the city center. 🚊🌎

Radeberg goers can hop on the bus at 2:15 am (summertime) or 3:45 am and 2:45 am (wintertime), with an additional 3:15 am wintertime jaunt back to Dresden. The Radeberg to Dresden trip will have an extra 3:15 am wintertime spin, too. 🚌🌟

With a touch of the clock, two buses will depart Dresden's Postplatz bound for Pirna at 2:50 am (summertime) and 3:05 am (wintertime), with the first Pirna trip concluding at the "Breite Straße" stop to allow for the second round. Passengers destined for Sonnenstein can nab a taxi there using their valid VVO ticket.

In the midst of the time change this weekend, the public-transit network in Dresden is preparing for seamless transportation. The VVO industry has planned a double dose of buses on October 28th to ensure all passengers, even night owls, can catch the finance-friendly regional bus service for a comfortable ride to Meißen.
