Sanophi Chooses Omnicom Media Group as Their Global Advertising Media Agency
In a significant move in the global media landscape, pharmaceutical giant Sanofi has announced the appointment of Omnicom Media Group as its media agency of record for its consumer healthcare and pharmaceutical brands, excluding the U.S. market.
The announcement follows a seven-month media agency review process, which was announced in June and overseen by search consultancy MediaSense. During this period, the media agency network worked with Sanofi via a dedicated Sanofi @ Omnicom media unit, developed specifically for the pitch.
The new media unit will bring together talent, systems, and tools from across the agency, leveraging resources from across Omnicom Media Group to manage media duties for Sanofi's global brands. Omnicom Media Group will be responsible for all digital and traditional media buying and planning for these brands.
The media unit will work with Sanofi via this dedicated arrangement, with the media agency review process for Sanofi's global brands, excluding the U.S. market, conducted by Sanofi and overseen by MediaSense.
The decision was confirmed by sources with knowledge of the account to Adweek, marking a new chapter in the collaboration between Sanofi and Omnicom Media Group. However, the name of the lead responsible for coordinating the collaboration between the two parties has not been disclosed.
This appointment underscores Sanofi's commitment to delivering innovative and effective media strategies for its global brands. With Omnicom Media Group's extensive experience and resources, Sanofi is well-positioned to achieve its media goals and engage with its audience effectively.
