Russia's 2026 Public Holidays: 12 Days for New Year, 4 Short Weeks
The Russian government has announced the public holiday calendar for 2026. The decree, typically issued by the Cabinet of Ministers, was finalised in late September 2026. This year will see four short weeks, with no extended workweeks planned.
The New Year holidays will span 12 days, from 31 December 2025 to 11 January 2026. Notably, 4 November will also be a public holiday in 2026. Trading on TradingView will be suspended on these holidays, along with 1-4 and 7 January, 23 February, 8 March, 1 and 9 May, and 31 December.
Long weekends are planned for 21-23 February, 7-9 March, 1-3 and 9-11 May, and 12-14 June. However, trading on TradingView will continue on official holidays such as 5-6 and 8-9 January, 9 March, and 11 May.
The 2026 public holiday calendar in Russia has been set, balancing traditional celebrations with minimal disruption to the country's financial markets. The schedule for additional weekend trading sessions on TradingView will be released separately, with exceptions for specific settlement deals and contracts.
