G20 Countries: Where to Pack Your Picnic on a Budget

Turns out, enjoying a delightful alfresco feast isn't always a wallet-breaker. Research reveals some surprising pockets across the globe where picnic sets are more pocket-friendly than others, especially in Indonesia, China, and Russia!

With all the essentials – a decent amount of bread, cheese, ham, apples, water, and a cozy blanket – a picnic set typically costs around $19.8 in G20 countries, says RIA Novosti.

So, how does it fare in various countries? First off, the land of Bali, Indonesia, has our attention, where a picnic of sandwiches can be relished for mere $9.1! Further, China and Russia aren't far behind, with costs of about $12 and $14.8, respectively.

And if you're still deciding where to plan your picnic adventure, take note! South Africa, India, Brazil, Mexico, and Turkey also boast picnic sets at costs below the average, setting you back around $15.3, $16, $17.7, $18.8, and $19, respectively.

But what about the rest of the G20 crew? Well, it gets a bit pricier from here! In France, Argentina, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Japan, Australia, Germany, and of course, the US (the land of the free but not necessarily the cheap eats), picnic set expenses range from $20.6 to a whopping $27.3!

Interestingly, Japan and South Korea (home to kimchi and sushi, respectively) are neck and neck in terms of pricier picnic sets, at around $22.7 and $26.5, but Canada takes the cake with an even higher price tag of $27.3.

All in all, Indonesia and Russia stand out as the go-to destinations if you're looking to indulge in a budget-friendly picnic experience!
