It's nothing out of the ordinary to witness renowned K-pop artists, be they groups or soloists, debut a new song at the top of Billboard's global rankings when they have something to announce. Individuals like BTS, Blackpink, and the musicians behind these acts have a proven history of achieving hit after hit on the lists of the most-played tracks worldwide, thanks to their worldwide popularity. The most recent chart-topper hailing from one of these artists has turned out to be quite extraordinary, refusing to relinquish its spot.

As of now, Rosé’s “Apt.” remains the reigning king of Billboard's Global 200. This collaboration between Blackpink's leading lady and Bruno Mars has dominated the list for nine weeks straight, tying an important record in the process.

“Apt.” now shares this record with two other tracks as the one with the most consecutive weeks at the No. 1 spot on Billboard Global 200. Harry Styles' “As It Was” and The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber's “Stay” have also achieved this feat, with the latter achieving it first in 2021, during the early stages of the Billboard Global 200. The following year, Harry Styles breathed new life into this record with his most successful single to date.

“Apt.” debuted at the top of Billboard Global 200 in early November and has held its ground since then. It seems likely that it will remain at the No. 1 spot for at least another week, if not longer, and if that happens, Rosé and Mars will break their tie and make history.

Rosé bagged her first solo No. 1 on Billboard Global 200 with “Apt.” She had previously reached the summit with Blackpink, achieving this feat twice.

Mars, too, has claimed a pair of rulers on the same worldwide tally, and his run is particularly noteworthy. Just before “Apt.” came to rule the roost, he and Lady Gaga sent their unexpected collaboration “Die with a Smile” to the top spot. This song held the top spot for eight consecutive weeks, until it was toppled by “Apt.”

The collaboration between Blackpink's Rose and Bruno Mars, titled "Apt.", has been dominating Billboard's Global 200 for nine weeks, tying for the most consecutive weeks at number one with Harry Styles' "As It Was" and The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber's "Stay".

Rose's "Apt." debuted at number one on Billboard Global 200 and has held its position since then, showing no signs of falling from the top spot anytime soon.

The song's continued success on Billboard Global 200 marks Rose's first solo number one, following previous achievements with Blackpink.

Bruno Mars, on the other hand, has claimed two number one spots on the same worldwide tally with his songs, adding to his impressive chart history.

Successively, Mars' collaboration with Lady Gaga, "Die with a Smile", held the number one spot on Billboard Global 200 for eight consecutive weeks, before being overtaken by "Apt.".
