Kicking off a Regulatory Compliance DrivePremier Energy SRL, a key player in Romania's energy sector, has taken a significant step to toe the European line, separating its natural gas supply and distribution activities. Now, two entities — Premier Energy SA and NeoGas Grid — are steering their respective affairs, with the former tackling gas supply and the latter managing distribution services.

Twin Taggers: The New Owners of the Supply and Distribution WorldPremier Energy SA, the new gas supply overseer, and NeoGas Grid, the distribution network commander, are geared up to deliver the same quality services to customers. This division is part of a larger scheme to adhere to European regulations and optimize group operations, with minimal impact on service quality.

NeoGas Grid: Onwards and UpwardsNeoGas Grid boasts a sprawling network of nearly 4,000 km, catering to the Bucharest metropolitan area, southern and western Romania, and smaller localities in the north. The network expands by around 400 km annually, showcasing the company's dedication to revitalizing Romania's national energy infrastructure. As the third-largest player in the natural gas distribution market, NeoGas Grid is investing in a modernized network ready for the switch to green hydrogen, further strengthening its eco-friendly stance.

Expanding HorizonsOperating across multiple energy verticals, Premier Energy Group is a dominant force in Southeastern Europe's energy sector, boasting an impressive growth rate. Its portfolio includes electricity generation, renewable energy management, and natural gas supply and distribution. The group owns, manages, or develops over 1,200 MW of renewable energy capacity, supplies electricity to approximately 2.3 million consumers, and operates a natural gas distribution network spanning over 3,800 km.

The group is the third-largest player in the natural gas distribution market and is majority-owned by EMMA Capital, an influential investment fund founded by Jiří Šmejc, a renowned Czech entrepreneur and CEO of PPF, a regionally prominent investment fund.
