Restores Executive Ranks at Hairstory

Refreshing Updates at Hairstory: A Closer Look

Stepping into a new era, DTC hair care brand Hairstory has been making waves by shaking up its leadership team. According to a recent press release, the brand has appointed new executives, including a CEO, Chief Marketing Officer, Vice President of Sales, and Design Director.

Taking the reins from co-founder Eli Halliwell, who continues his tenure as Executive Chairman, is Harley Butler. Butler brings over two decades of leadership experience from notable companies like Target, Adobe, Prezi, Cisco, and Flip Video. Under Butler's guidance, Hairstory aims to intensify its mission to revolutionize the way people care for their tresses.

Butler's appointment as CEO follows a trend seen in companies such as Brooklinen, Glossier, Lively, and Casper, where founders have stepped down to make way for experienced leadership that drives growth.

Hairstory has also enlisted additional retail veterans with a strong background in the beauty industry. Dina Rosenbloom, the brand's new Chief Marketing Officer, recently served as Senior Vice President at Creed Fragrances North America. With her addition, the brand has marked the creation of two new positions: Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Sales.

Stephanie Savidge, who joined Hairstory in the spring as Design Director, has over a decade of experience in luxury beauty, working for L'Oréal Luxe Division and Unilever Prestige. Larissa Rhodes, appointed as Vice President of Sales, spent the past three years as Vice President of Professional Sales at Olaplex.

Founded in 2015, Hairstory gained recognition for its New Wash product—a detergent-free shampoo crafted from natural ingredients. With a projected revenue of $30 million to $50 million in 2023, the company boasts a portfolio of 12 products, including hair balm, hair oil, and more.

Beyond its direct-to-consumer sales on the brand's website, Hairstory can also be found on Amazon. Hairstylists can join a network that provides clients with exclusive pricing through a referral link and earn a 25% commission on their sales.

Hairstory's commitment to fostering creativity and delivering outstanding results makes each strategic hire an integral part of its ongoing mission to lead the no-shampoo movement, expand its hairstylist network, and bolster its sustainability efforts, particularly in terms of product and packaging innovation, as Butler stated in a recent announcement.
