In her new role, Major will be headin' up the merchandisin' team and overseein' their planning and inventory management, sales, and operations strategy. Sylvia Wilks, REI's chief supply chain officer, shared her excitement about her new hire, elaboratin' that Jackie brings a boatload of retail experience and shrewd business sense to the table. REI ain't lettin' the grass grow under their feet, no sir. This summer, they announced the arrival of a fresh location for their used gear concept store, dubbed Re/Supply, in Clackamas, Oregon. They're also breakin' ground on a new Co-op location in Laguna Hills, California, openin' up on Friday. After that, they've got plans to expand in Beaverton, Oregon; Durango, Colorado; Prescott, Arizona, and Sarasota, Florida, among other places. Keep your eyes peeled for those store openings!
