In the current economic climate, fuel prices in Germany have seen an increase, with Super E10 now retailing at 1.667 euros per liter and Diesel at 1.589 euros per liter. This marks a rise from last week's prices of 1.660 euros for Super E10 and 1.582 euros for Diesel.

The oil price has also risen, with Brent crude oil trading at around 68 US dollars per barrel, an increase of two dollars. This fluctuation between 65 and 70 US dollars since early August reflects the stability of the fuel market. The US dollar's weakness compared to the euro makes buying oil cheaper in this region.

Amidst these rising costs, the German Automobile Club (ADAC) offers valuable advice to help motorists save money on fuel. The ADAC recommends avoiding motorway service stations, as prices there are on average more than 40 cents per liter higher.

For those seeking cheaper fuel options, the ADAC website (www.adac.de/tanken) and the ADAC Drive app are invaluable resources. Both platforms allow users to view and compare prices at over 14,000 fuel stations in Germany 24/7. The ADAC's current assessment of petrol and diesel prices has been conducted by the organisation, which analyzes and comments on fuel price developments in Germany.

Moreover, the ADAC suggests filling up in the evenings to save money on fuel. Prices are on average around 13 cents cheaper per liter than in the mornings. By following these tips, motorists can effectively manage their fuel expenses and maintain their budgets during these challenging times.
