The city of Streshnev, Russia, has been impacted by a fire at the Strejevskaya substation overnight. According to reports, the incident has resulted in partial power outages across the city, affecting residential homes, social facilities, and communal infrastructure.

The firefighting efforts have since been concluded, and power engineers from "Rosseti Tomsk" have initiated restoration work. The process involves six crews, 18 specialists, and six units of special equipment, working tirelessly to restore power to all affected areas.

While the exact timeline for full restoration is yet to be confirmed, it is projected that power will be fully restored to all areas within the next 24 to 48 hours. The restoration work is prioritising the city's communal life support facilities, kindergartens, and hospital, with the aim of ensuring essential services are restored as soon as possible.

Subscribers have reported power outages in areas near the airport, and the company is working to address these issues. It is worth noting that while power has been restored to all residential areas in the city, interruptions may still occur in the industrial zone.

To expedite the restoration process, a reserve of new cable has been sent from Novokuznetsk by "Rosseti Siberia" and is expected to arrive in Streshnev by morning. The company is also working to repair the damaged equipment at the substation.

Unfortunately, the fire has also disrupted the cold water supply, but this has been partially restored after the launch of the sewage pump stations. Hot water supply is still being prepared for residents' homes, but it may not be immediately available for everyone, and pressure may be less than usual.

The mayor of Streshnev, Valeriy Didenchenko, has urged residents to report addresses where electricity has not been restored to ensure no one is left without power for an extended period. For the most precise and up-to-date information, local utility services or municipal announcements should be monitored.

The restoration efforts are ongoing, and the community's cooperation is greatly appreciated as the city works to recover from this incident.

The manufacturing industry in Streshnev has faced disruption due to the power outage caused by the fire at the Strejevskaya substation, potentially affecting production schedules. The finance sector might experience delays in transactions as electronic services rely on a stable power supply. The retail sector might also be impacted with some stores closing temporarily due to the power outage until supply is restored. Rosseti Siberia, sending a reserve of new cable to Streshnev, is demonstrating a need for backup resources in the energy sector to ensure continuity in the event of such incidents.
