Werner Schneider Bids Farewell to Kirchheimbolanden Police Station
After nearly four decades of service in the police force, Chief Inspector Werner Schneider retired from the Kirchheimbolanden Police Station on Thursday. The farewell ceremony was held at the city hall near the Orangerie, with Mayor Marc Muchow, Police President Reiner Hamm, and Schneider's colleagues in attendance.
Schneider began his career in the police force in August 1980 with the readiness police. Over the years, he held leadership roles as early as 1992 and took over as the head of the Kirchheimbolanden Police Station in 2019. During his tenure, he led the team through many moving and stressful experiences.
Mayor Muchow expressed gratitude to Werner Schneider for years of excellent cooperation. He wished Schneider a wonderful retirement and conveyed the appreciation of citizens for Schneider's team's efforts. The Mayor also offered the same cooperative partnership to Schneider's successor, Oliver Straub.
Oliver Straub is the new head of Kirchheimbolanden Police Station. He has extensive experience with the Rhineland-Palatinate police and was the deputy head of Alzey Police Station. Straub approached his new task with respect and great motivation. He thanked Werner Schneider for the well-prepared field and looked forward to working with his motivated team.
Straub's appointment comes at a time when Schneider has expressed concern about the negative sentiment towards the police in social media. He left with pride and a tear in his eye, thanking partners and employees for their trust. The farewell ceremony was not without humour, with Police President Reiner Hamm delivering a humorous speech. Mayor Muchow also conveyed his appreciation to Schneider, wishing him a happy and fulfilling retirement. Schneider served at various stations, including the now-defunct highway police in Worms-Pfeddersheim. His career in the police force will be remembered for his dedication and leadership.
