Philip Morris appoints Koepfer as new communications head
Andrea Koepfer has been appointed as the Director of Communications at Philip Morris Germany, starting September 1st. Koepfer will oversee the strategic direction of Philip Morris Germany's communications and report directly to Veronika F. Rost, CEO of Philip Morris Germany.
Koepfer brings a wealth of experience in strategic planning, public affairs, corporate branding, internal and external communications, reputation management, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives to her new role.
Before joining Philip Morris, Koepfer served as Senior Director Communications & ESG at the Munich-based travel company Flix. At Flix, Koepfer was instrumental in shaping the company's thought leadership and ESG strategies. Prior to her appointment at Flix, Koepfer held leadership positions at Media Markt Saturn, where she played a key role in the IPO of the parent company Ceconomy AG and built and led the public affairs department.
Koepfer's career trajectory demonstrates a strong focus on strategic communications, corporate branding, and ESG initiatives. At Media Markt Saturn, Koepfer was also responsible for internal and external communications, corporate branding, thought leadership, reputation management, and ESG.
Koepfer's experience in ESG strategies will likely contribute to Philip Morris Germany's efforts in sustainable business practices. As a member of Philip Morris Germany's management team, Koepfer will join the company at an exciting time as it continues to focus on its smoke-free product portfolio and its commitment to a smoke-free future.
