Over 50 Officers Inspect Duisburg Logistics, Find 8 Illegally Residing Workers
Over 50 enforcement officers from the FKS (Financial Control Schwarzarbeit) and Duisburg police inspected Duisburg's logistics sector on 30.09.2025. They questioned over 40 people about their employment and initiated 23 initial proceedings on site.
The inspections focused on employer registration with social security, unlawful social benefits, work permits, residence titles, and minimum working conditions. Shockingly, eight workers were found illegally in Germany without the required residence titles.
Investigations suggest that social security contributions were not paid properly in several cases. This could result in criminal proceedings and administrative offenses. The Hauptzollamt Duisburg, responsible for such matters, is currently looking into these allegations.
The FKS and Duisburg police's joint operation highlights the commitment to combat illegal employment and ensure fair working conditions in Duisburg's logistics sector. Further details will be provided as the investigations progress.
