Osnabrück City updates residents on the current condition of the town's district heating network.
🔥 Get Ready for Osnabrück's Climate-Neutral Future!
🌏 The city of Osnabrück is taking a giant leap towards climate neutrality, with a goal to make its heat supply eco-friendly by 2040. A major step in this direction is the current development of a municipal heat plan, in partnership with Stadtwerke Osnabrück and a team of experts.
📅 Completing this blueprint by mid-2026 is not just an ambition, it's a federal political requirement, with Osnabrück aiming to complete the process by the end of 2025. The plan will identify thebest heat solution for each part of the city.
⭐ On December 12, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, the city, along with IP Syscon, energielenker, and the Energy Competence Center of the University of Osnabrück, will present a first interim report of the planning in the hall of the Volkshochschule. This event will cover the first two of four building blocks of the municipal heat plan – the inventory analysis and the potential analysis – without revealing all the sauce!
🔍 They'll reveal the quirks of heat planning in Osnabrück and share some early findings. And if you've got questions or suggestions, there will be plenty of time to share them!
