Finding a location, building permits, and ironing out lease agreements, according to Birnbrich. Sparkasse parted with around 200 large ones for the pavilion, 150 grand of which went towards the steel-reinforced concrete cube and security gear.
"We're sitting on the most modern tech here," Birnbrich boasts. Any smart-ass trying to hack this beauty will be given a show complete with flashing lights, fog, warning signals, and a dye job that turns their cash into worthless trash. "Breaking in here ain't worth the hassle," promises Birnbrich.
Folks who want to access the services in the new Sparkassen pavilion need to hold their card to the reader, just like at a regular bank branch when they're closed, to open the door. Inside, you'll find an ATM for account statements, transfers, and deposits and withdrawals.
The annual cash withdrawal volume in the Sparkasse district clocks in at around 1.5 billion euros. The typical cash withdrawal per customer? Around 250 bucks.
