#### NordWestBahn's New Contract
NordWestBahn has secured a contract extension to operate trains on the Weser-Ems network in Germany. This includes routes between Osnabrück, Bremen, Wilhelmshaven, and Esens. The new contract extends the operation for another nine years, starting with the next timetable change.
Vehicles from the Lower Saxony fleet, of the Alstom LINT type, will continue to be used on the Weser-Ems network, with newer vehicles to be introduced during the contract. The new contract covers approximately 4.3 million train-kilometers per year.
#### Bayerische Regiobahn's Continued Operations
Bayerische Regiobahn (BRB) has won the tender for the Rosenheimer Kreuz electric network in southern Germany, allowing them to continue operating lines connecting Munich to the Austrian border, Salzburg, and Kufstein until at least 2043. The Rosenheim E network, operated by BRB, includes the RE 5 Munich - Rosenheim - Salzburg, RB 54 Munich - Rosenheim - Kufstein, and RB 58 Munich - Holzkirchen - Rosenheim lines.
The new transport contract for the Rosenheim E network will begin with the timetable change in December 2029 and will be valid for a minimum of 14 years, until December 2043. The 35 Stadler FLIRT 3 electric multiple units, which need to be redesigned, will continue to be used on the Rosenheim E network. BRB carries approximately 17 million passengers per year on the Rosenheim E network.
It's worth noting that the new contract for the Rosenheim E network does not include an option for extension beyond 2043.
