Oil supply crisis at Qazaq Gasoline
PetroRetail Fined for Gasoline Overfilling Violation in Petropavlovsk
In a recent development, the Kazakhstani company PetroRetail has been fined 1,179,600 tenge for overfilling gasoline at the Qazaq Oil fuel station in Petropavlovsk. The fine was imposed under the simplified administrative procedure by the Ministry of Trade and Integration, following an unscheduled inspection by the Department of Technical Regulation and Metrology of the North Kazakhstan region.
The inspection was likely initiated due to a resident's complaint about violations at the fuel station. During the inspection, control measurements of gasoline dispensed through the fuel dispenser were conducted using a calibrated 20-liter measure. Significant violations were found on dispenser No.1, with an excess of 120 ml, and on dispenser No.4, with an excess of 140 ml.
The tolerance for such a volume of fuel should be within +/-80 ml, but the results showed an excess. As a result, PetroRetail was fined an additional 179,600 tenge, bringing the total to 1,179,600 tenge.
The management of the company involved in the gasoline distribution violation at the "Qazaq Oil" gas station in Petropavlovsk is not specified in the Ministry of Trade and Integration report. However, it is known that PetroRetail complied with the issued order by checking and adjusting the fuel dispensers within a specified time frame.
It is important to note that no further information about the shortage of diesel in the country was mentioned, nor was any forecast of a diesel price rise. Additionally, no new violations were found in this instance, and no new fines were imposed on any other entities.
This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of adhering to regulations and maintaining the quality of services provided, especially in the sensitive sector of fuel distribution. The Ministry of Trade and Integration encourages residents to report any suspected violations to ensure the continued provision of fair and accurate services.
