NKY Chamber Honors Julie Kirkpatrick for Boosting Tourism
The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce (NKY Chamber) has honoured Julie Kirkpatrick with the NKY Community Award. Sponsored by First National Bank of Kentucky, the award recognises Kirkpatrick's significant contributions to the region's tourism industry.
Kirkpatrick, President and CEO of meetNKY, has been instrumental in positioning Northern Kentucky as a premier tourist destination. She developed The B-Line, the region's gateway to the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, collaborating with local tourism organisations, business groups, and government agencies. Her leadership has led to Northern Kentucky becoming the second largest tourism economy in the Commonwealth.
A graduate of the University of Kentucky and Northern Kentucky University, Kirkpatrick holds several certifications, including Certified Tourism Ambassador, Executive Bourbon Steward, and Certified Destination Management Executive. She serves on various boards across the region and is an adjunct professor for Cincinnati State's Culinary and Hospitality Sciences program. Through meetNKY, she has worked with partners in Cincinnati and Kentucky to promote Northern Kentucky as a must-see destination.
