Ninh Binh Tackles Obstacles to Boost Japanese Investment
Ninh Binh province is actively addressing challenges faced by Japanese businesses to foster growth and investment. The province is developing social housing and improving road networks, while also tackling power outages, flooding, and labor shortages to create a favorable business environment.
Ninh Binh, home to 114 Japanese projects with a total registered investment of $1.46 billion, is working diligently to remove obstacles for its Japanese investors. Japanese entrepreneur Iwakoshi from Shikoku Cable Vietnam has already sought support from local authorities to resolve issues in Dong Van Industrial Zones 2 and 3, including occasional power outages and flooding due to inadequate drainage.
Provincial Chairman Pham Quang Ngoc is directing departments to address these challenges, with a focus on labor shortages that have intensified after the Lunar New Year holiday. Businesses are also requesting streamlined administrative procedures to facilitate operations, and local authorities are instructed to prioritize this. Tree coverage in industrial zones, causing visibility and traffic issues, is another concern being addressed by officials.
Ninh Binh province is committed to supporting its Japanese investors, with Provincial Party chief Truong Quoc Huy pledging to swiftly remove obstacles. By tackling power outages, flooding, and labor shortages, and streamlining administrative procedures, the province aims to retain and attract more Japanese businesses, further boosting its economic growth.
