Nigeria's Real Estate Elite Unites at RESF 2025, Pledges Reforms
Over 1,000 key players in Nigeria's real estate sector gathered at the Real Estate Stakeholders' Forum (RESF) 2025. Attendees included developers, investors, policymakers, and other professionals. The forum aimed to build a more inclusive and investment-friendly real estate ecosystem in Nigeria.
The event saw stakeholders reaffirm their commitment to this goal. They also decided to adopt the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN) as their official voice. The forum resolved to create a Policy Advisory Document for broader national housing reforms. Barrister Festus Adebayo called for the professionalization of real estate development during the discussions.
Topics covered included affordable housing, land use reforms, modular housing, and the housing finance gap. Professor Timothy Nubi stressed the importance of public-private collaboration for urban development. REDAN will present a jointly issued communiqué to the government, advocating for reforms in land titling, taxation, and investment incentives.
The Real Estate Stakeholders' Forum 2025 brought together diverse professionals to discuss and plan for a better real estate ecosystem in Nigeria. With REDAN as their official voice, stakeholders are committed to presenting a united front to the government, advocating for reforms that will benefit the sector and the nation as a whole.
