New Model Dodge Charger Scat Pack Fueled by Gas set for Release by Year's End
2026 Dodge Charger Scat Pack and R/T: A Muscle Car Revolution
The automotive world is abuzz with excitement as Dodge unveils its latest offering – the 2026 Dodge Charger Scat Pack and R/T. These iconic muscle cars are set to redefine power and performance, promising an unmatched driving experience.
The new models share a common feature with the Charger Daytona EV models – they boast the widest body in the industry. This expansive design is a testament to Dodge's commitment to delivering muscle car prowess with a modern twist.
The 2026 Dodge Charger Scat Pack and R/T models come with a unique performance hood, large front and rear fascias, and a "CHARGER" text logo, setting them apart from their predecessors.
Under the hood, the Charger R/T is powered by the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-6 engine, known as the SIXPACK, in its standard output configuration. This engine delivers 420 horsepower and 468 lb.-ft. of torque. The Charger Scat Pack, on the other hand, is equipped with the high-output version of the SIXPACK engine, offering a staggering 550 horsepower and 531 lb.-ft. of torque, making it the most powerful version of the Hurricane engine.
Both models offer all-wheel drive (AWD) as standard, with the option to switch to rear-wheel drive (RWD) for a traditional muscle car driving experience. The Scat Pack model takes this a step further, with its RWD mode sending 100% of torque to the rear wheels, enabling drifts and burnouts.
Acceleration is swift, with the Scat Pack model accelerating from 0-60 mph in just 3.9 seconds and completing the quarter-mile in 12.2 seconds. Top speed stands at an impressive 177 mph.
To further enhance performance, the Scat Pack includes standard Line Lock, which locks the front brakes and disengages the front axle to enable tire-smoking burnouts with a simple push of a button. Launch Control is also available, optimizing off-the-line acceleration and boost pressure.
The 2026 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack will also be available, priced at a starting MSRP of $59,995. This all-electric model offers similar performance and design, but with the added benefits of eco-friendly driving.
The new Charger lineup is expected to arrive at dealerships before the end of the year, with ordering for the two-door SIXPACK-powered 2026 Dodge Charger Scat Pack opening on August 13, 2025. The rear seats of the Charger can fold flat, providing a max rear cargo area of 37.4 cubic feet.
Buyers of the gas-powered Scat Pack and Daytona EV Scat Pack will receive a day of performance driving instruction at Radford Racing School, ensuring they make the most of their powerful new ride.
The 2026 Dodge Charger Scat Pack and R/T were unveiled at Dodge's horsepower event, Roadkill Nights, held along the famous Woodward Avenue in Pontiac, Michigan. These new models are set to raise the bar for muscle car performance, offering a thrilling driving experience that combines power, speed, and style.
The 2026 Dodge Charger Scat Pack and R/T models, set to revolutionize muscle car performance, will also be available in an electric version, the Daytona EV Scat Pack, showcasing Dodge's commitment to both traditional and eco-friendly transportation. The expansive body design of these vehicles, the widest in the industry, exemplifies a blend of lifestyle and automotive innovation. Finance options for these powerful vehicles, promised to be abundant for buyers, will ensure accessibility to the thrilling driving experience they offer.
