In a move to strengthen its position in the mission-critical communications market, Motorola Solutions has completed the acquisition of Silvus Technologies Holdings Inc. for $4.38 billion in cash and $20 million in restricted stock to certain employee equity holders.

The acquisition will amplify Motorola Solutions' ability to build more powerful solutions, particularly in contested, congested, and electronic warfare (EW) environments.
