Mönchengladbach's Limitenstraße Gets Noise-Proof Surfacing, Temporary One-Way Traffic
Mönchengladbach city is funding a noise protection surfacing project on Limitenstraße in Rheydt. The main street towards the market square will temporarily become one-way during the project. The project aims to implement the state of NRW's noise action plan.
The Gracht intersection will be closed for two weeks starting June 14, 2019, to apply noise-optimized asphalt. Despite the closure, the parking lot at the Gracht will remain accessible throughout the project work. After the project's completion, only marking work and minor traffic interventions will follow.
Meanwhile, a new construction site has opened at Hügelstraße 20-90. Here, the main sewer line is being renovated until February 28, 2020. Back on Limitenstraße, project work is nearing completion.
