Wealth management firm Credent successfully brings on board $420 million Michigan-based advisory company, TFG Advisors.

Michigan-based TFG Advisors, with an asset value of $420 million, officially joins Credent Wealth.

In a strategic move to bolster its presence in the Midwest, CX Institutional, operating as Credent Wealth Management, has announced the acquisition of TFG Advisors. This strategic partnership aims to expand Credent's footprint, increase assets under management (AUM), and strengthen its commitment to client-centric financial planning.

The acquisition of TFG Advisors, with offices in Auburn Hills and Ann Arbor, Michigan, aligns with Credent's growth strategy by adding new locations to its existing office in Portage, Michigan. This expansion will help Credent serve a more diverse clientele across the region.

The acquisition significantly contributes to Credent's financial growth, bringing approximately $420 million in AUM, bringing Credent closer to $4 billion in AUM. This growth milestone underscores Credent's increasing influence in the financial market.

Cultural alignment is a key aspect of this partnership. Both Credent and TFG Advisors share a client-first approach and a strong culture of financial planning. The acquisition ensures that the growth strategy is supported by consistent service standards and cultural alignment across the organization.

The seven-member team from TFG, led by principals George Barnhart, Terry Hirsch, and Paul Reile, will join Credent. This strengthens Credent's talent pool and enhances its ability to deliver comprehensive wealth management services.

TFG Advisors serves around 400 clients, including business owners, retirees, professionals, and high-net-worth individuals. This addition diversifies and deepens Credent's client portfolio.

The partnership also opens the door to enhanced solutions and long-term growth for TFG Advisors. Clients of TFG Advisors will benefit from CX Institutional's expanded financial planning capabilities, broader investment options, proprietary strategies, and institutional offerings.

George Barnhart, Managing Partner and Director of Operations & Marketing at TFG Advisors, stated, "We are excited to partner with Credent because they are the right cultural fit, sharing Midwest roots, client-first mindset, and commitment to doing the right thing by both clients and people."

This acquisition marks CX Institutional's second and third offices in Michigan, further solidifying its presence in the state. David Hefty, CEO of Credent Wealth Management, expressed his excitement about welcoming TFG Advisors' team to the Credent family.

CX Institutional, a fee-only RIA in Indiana, has acquired TFG Advisors, a Michigan-based firm with a reputation for family-focused service and long-standing, referral-based client relationships. The partnership supports TFG Advisors' succession plans, ensuring continuity for clients and creating new opportunities for upcoming advisors.

CX Institutional plans to further develop TFG Advisors' Ann Arbor office, recognizing its community roots and growth potential. This strategic move is part of CX Institutional's ongoing efforts to build a "forever firm" rooted in client service, planning, investment expertise, and operational strength.

This is the eighth partnership for CX Institutional in three years, reflecting its commitment to growth and long-term sustainability in the financial services industry.

The acquisition of TFG Advisors not only brings approximately $420 million in AUM, helping CX Institutional move closer to $4 billion in AUM, but also diversifies and deepens Credent's client portfolio, by adding over 400 clients, including business owners, retirees, professionals, and high-net-worth individuals.

The integration of TFG Advisors' seven-member team, led by George Barnhart, Terry Hirsch, and Paul Reile, strengthens Credent's talent pool and enhances its ability to deliver comprehensive wealth management services, including expanded financial planning capabilities and broader investment options.
