The company, a member of the Bavarian Environmental Pact since 2021, was awarded the Gold-Urkunde at a ceremony in Ronhof-Stadion in Fürth on September 22, 2025.
The workshop, founded in 1970 and now led by Martin John, specializes in CNC milling and turning for precision parts production. Its environmental and climate change pact achievements are notable, including the use of washable reusable cleaning cloths, reusable transport packaging, LED lighting, and company bicycles. The company also generates a significant portion of its energy through a photovoltaic system and supplies heat to the workshop using a wood chip heating system, aiming for climate-neutral production.
The Bavarian Environmental Pact, a cooperation between the Bavarian state government and the economy, has over 1,600 members across Bavaria, including 20 in the district of Fürth. District administrator Bernd Obst praised Martin John Mechanical Workshop's commitment, thanking all companies in the district for their efforts. The company's CEO also emphasized that customer satisfaction and sustainable production are top priorities.
