Hey there, bud! Here's some juicy news for ya. Hòa Phát cold rolled steel coil - title's a mouthful, ain't it? But it's a hot topic in modern steel manufacturing!

Vietnam and Malaysia played a bit of a trade game, and guess who won? That's right, Vietnam! Effective from Monday, June 23, Malaysia has waved goodbye to anti-dumping duties and investigations on Vietnamese cold-rolled steel imports.

Why's that a big deal? Well, it's all about the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) in Malaysia. They've been stirring things up by investigating imported goods from countries like China, South Korea, Japan, and our very own Việt Nam. They were concerned about potential dumping activities that might hurt the Malaysian steel industry.

But, after a thorough review, they've decided to only keep anti-dumping duties on Chinese and Japanese steel imports. Why? Because they've found that Vietnamese exporters aren't playing any dirty tricks - hooray for ethical business!

The epic anti-dumping war kicked off way back on December 24, 2024, when a company called Mycron Steel CRC Sdn. Bhd. (representing the Malaysian steel industry) requested an administrative review on the expiry of anti-dumping duties applied to cold-rolled steel exceeding 1,300mm in width and some related products, except for cold-rolled black plate used for tin-plating, imports for the automotive sector, and transformer cooling plates imported from China, South Korea, Japan, and Vietnam.

The initial anti-dumping duties on Malaysian steel products were imposed back in 2015 to protect their steel industry from unfair trade practices and dumping by foreign producers. So, Malaysia's decision to lift the anti-dumping duties is like a breath of fresh air for us - yeehaw!

By eliminating these tariff barriers, they're opening up fantastic opportunities for Vietnamese companies to dig their heels deeper into the Southeast Asian export market. Fancy that!

Now, take a sip of your morning coffee and let that sink in. The price of doing business in Malaysia just got a whole lot sweeter for us - can I hear a hallelujah?
