Major food industry corporations, including McDonald's, Red Robin, and Applebee's, announce executive reshuffles.

In the dynamic world of food and hospitality, changes are afoot as several renowned figures take on new roles and welcome fresh faces to their teams.

Communications Shifts

Kathy Baird, with over two and a half decades of experience, has left her position as the chief communications officer for the Washington Post. She is now set to serve as McDonald's USA's chief impact officer, joining the company's Global Impact Leadership Team. Meanwhile, Anne Hammer, formerly global chief communications officer at Manulife, has been named McDonald's global chief communications officer and will also be part of the Global Impact Leadership Team.

Culinary Expansions

JKS Restaurants, the London-based hospitality group, is expanding its footprint in the United States. The Punjabi restaurant Ambassadors Club is set to open in New York City, and the Michelin-starred Gymkhana concept will debut at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. Pavan Pardasani, who has been named global CEO of JKS Restaurants' Indian restaurants, will oversee the opening of two restaurants in the U.S. this fall.

New Leadership in Restaurant Chains

Red Robin has undergone some changes in its leadership team. Meghan Spuler, the previous chief people officer, has left the company, and Humera Kassem has taken over the role. Kassem brings extensive experience from HR leadership roles at JC Penney, Good Smoke Restaurant Group, Jamba, and Dave and Buster's.

Applebee's parent Dine Brands has hired Joseph Camperlingo as its new chief accounting officer. Camperlingo previously spent seven years with the Walt Disney Co., where he was VP of transaction support and policy.

Promotions within Hospitality Groups

Snooze A.M. Eatery has promoted Brianna Borin to COO. Borin started as a host 17 years ago and worked her way up within the company. Jeremy Edmonds, who joined Snooze A.M. Eatery five years ago, has also been promoted to executive VP of people and culture. Edmonds has been recognised as a champion for diversity and talent development.

Lexi Burns has been promoted to chief people officer at Twin Hospitality Group, overseeing HR for both Twin Peaks and Smokey Bones.

Transition in Mokas Coffee & Eatery

Scott Redler, who was the president of Mokas Coffee & Eatery, is moving to the board of directors. He is being replaced as president by Jason Ingermanson, founder and CEO of JRI Hospitality.

These changes reflect the ongoing evolution within the food and hospitality industry, as companies adapt and grow to meet the ever-changing needs of their customers.
