Lufthansa Group's office in Koblenz is headed by Philipps
Timo Philipps, a renowned German political scientist specialising in international relations and security studies, is set to begin a new chapter in his career. From July 1st, he will be leading the Lufthansa Group's Koblenz office.
Philipps' expertise encompasses defence policy, NATO, and transatlantic relations, making him a valuable addition to the Lufthansa Group. He has a strong background in the armaments sector, having held roles in business development, most notably as Team Leader Business Development Armaments at HIL.
In his previous role at HIL, Philipps headed a military expert team and acted as the interface between HIL, BAAINBw, and the Planning Office of the German Armed Forces. Prior to this, he gained experience at KPMG and BwConsulting before joining HIL.
Philipps' military background is noteworthy, having served as a reserve officer with deployments at the Federal Ministry of Defense, the Air Force, and the Joint Forces Command. He also acted as the interface between HIL and the Planning Office of the German Armed Forces.
Maximilian Kiewel, Head of Defense Policy & NATO, will oversee Philipps in his new role at the Lufthansa Group. This is not the first time the two have worked together, as Philipps reported to Kiewel during his tenure at HIL.
While the specifics of Philipps' roles and responsibilities at the Lufthansa Group are not yet clear, his history of leadership positions suggests he will continue to play a significant role. For those seeking more detailed information about his current roles, publications, or specific contributions to defence policy or NATO, it is recommended to consult his institutional profile or publications in security studies journals.
Philipps' background in business, particularly in the armaments sector, will likely prove beneficial as he takes on the leadership role at the Lufthansa Group's Koblenz office. Maximilian Kiewel, who oversees defense policy and NATO at the Lufthansa Group, will supervise Philipps in his new position, having previously worked together at HIL.
